Hon. Marie A. Moreno-Myers
San Bernardino County, Superior Court

Judge Marie Moreno-Myers is the youngest of 5 sisters. Her mother, who lived through the Great Depression, encouraged her to pursue higher education. This led Judge Moreno Myers to attend business college, graduating with the highest honors. She went on to graduate from Riverside City College. She first entered the legal profession as a legal secretary before completing the paralegal program through the University of California, Riverside. During her studies, Judge Moreno Myers served as the breadwinner of her household while raising two young children. Judge Moreno Myers then earned her Juris Doctor from Southern California Law School.

From 2004-2010, Judge Moreno Myers served as a partner at Swanson and Myers, where she litigated a wide range of matters, including Family Law, Probate, Guardianships, Adoptions, Conservatorships, and other Civil Litigation. In 2010, she established her own law firm and soon thereafter became a Certified Family Law Specialist. Judge Moreno Myers expanded her passion for law and began serving as Minor’s Counsel in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. During her career, she has provided pro bono services to military veterans through the American Bar Association, as well as resolving international custody disputes under the Hague Convention. She provided additional pro bono services through the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino and Riverside County Public Service Law Corporation for many years before and after becoming an officer of the court.

After 18 years as an attorney, Judge Moreno Myers was appointed to the San Bernardino Superior Court bench by Governor Gavin Newsom. Her first assignment was to the Barstow Superior Court presiding over Family Law matters. In her current capacity, she is assigned to the Family Law Division of the San Bernardino Superior Court at the Historic Courthouse in downtown San Bernardino.

Judge Moreno Myers is passionately committed to the administration of justice for all and desires to be known as a Judicial Officer who is fair, prepared, patient, and detail-oriented. She strives to be thoughtful and respectful to all who appear before her and ensure every litigant has the opportunity to be heard.

As an Attorney, Judge Moreno Myers was actively involved in numerous legal organizations, including the San Bernardino County Bar Associations, the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association, the Riverside County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

As a Superior Court Judge, she is presently involved in the San Bernardino Outreach Commission, the American Inns of Court, the California Judges Association, the CJA Family Law Committee, and the CJA Family Code Section 3044 sub-committee. She has additionally served as a mentor for the Judicial intern program and has opened her courtroom to students to view how justice is administered. She is also an active member of the California Women Judges Association and the Latino Judges Association.

Throughout her career, she has served as a “wish grantor” for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an Assistant Girl Scout Leader guiding girls to earn their Girl Scout Gold Award, and remained involved in her church.

She is a member of the Riverside Road Runners Organization and the Inland Empire Race Walkers and has completed four Marathons and too many half marathons to count. She has tutored students at the California School for the Deaf, served as an Adjunct Professor at California Southern Law School, and lectured on ethics for the Illumni real estate institute.

Judge Moreno Myers is the proud mother of two Children. Marika, an Associate Clinical Social Worker, and Zachary, a Deputy District Attorney with the San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office. She also enjoys spending time with her new grandson, Jackson.

R. Sam Price is an experienced and highly educated attorney who’s passionate about helping others. Sam’s exceptional talent is to make complicated legal jargon and court procedures, simple and easy to comprehend.

Sam graduated with honors from Western New England College School of Law and earned an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He has practiced law for 25 years and is the Managing Attorney of Price Law Firm, APC, where he guides families through the complexities of probate and estate planning with a rare combination of legal expertise, compassion, and the occasional dad joke that may or may not land. A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Sam is known for making daunting legal processes understandable—and even, on a good day, less intimidating.

Sam’s commitment to service extends beyond his clients. He serves on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Trusts and Estates Section, is Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Section of the San Bernardino County Bar Association, is an Atticus Practice Advisor helping other attorneys build great practices and live a great life, and sits on the boards of both the SBCBA and the Inland Empire Estate Planning Seminar. Committed to being a lifelong learner and mentor, Sam is a frequent MCLE presenter, the host of the Probate Notes podcast, and the author of two books: The 6-Stage Probate ProcessTM: How to Navigate California Probate and Impactful Estate Planning: How Family Dynamics, Goals, and Wishes Influence Leaving Your Inheritance and Legacy.

Having grown up in San Bernardino, Sam has dedicated his career to serving the local community. Today, he lives and works in Redlands, where he continues to build connections and advocate for access to justice. His approach to probate is grounded in empathy—he knows clients often come to him during some of the hardest moments of their lives with a problem that they can’t solve on their own, and he strives to provide clarity, dignity, and a sense of forward momentum.

When Sam isn’t in the office, in the courtroom, teaching a class, or on a podcast microphone, he can be found with his British TV reporter wife, Tiffany, and their eight-year-old son, Parker, likely on a hiking trail, at a community event, or building elaborate LEGO creations that Parker takes credit for (and rightly so).
