Justice has its heroes—and tonight, we celebrate them.

The Access to Justice Gala honors the public servants, individuals, and law firms who work tirelessly to make justice accessible for everyone, especially the underserved. This evening is not only about recognizing these champions but also about fueling the mission of the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino (LASSB) to break down legal barriers and build bridges of hope.

By attending, you’re joining a movement for equality in our legal system. Together, we can create a future where justice is a right, not a privilege. Join us in celebrating these inspiring heroes and recommitting to justice for all.

2024 Access to Justice Gala Highlights

Become a Donor

Justice shouldn’t have a price tag. Yet for too many in our community, it does.
Our Access to Justice Gala honors those who fight to change this reality. These unsung heroes ensure that poverty doesn’t mean powerlessness in our courts.
But they need your help.
Your donation isn’t just money—it’s hope for a family facing eviction, support for a child needing an advocate, and a voice for those silenced by circumstance.
Be the difference. Sponsor, host a table, buy a ticket, or donate now. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to a world where justice serves all.
Click here to join our cause. Together, we can tip the scales of justice in favor of those who need it most.

Sam Price
Managing Attorney
Price Law Firm, APC

R. Sam Price is an experienced and highly educated attorney who’s passionate about helping others. Sam’s exceptional talent is to make complicated legal jargon and court procedures, simple and easy to comprehend.

Sam graduated with honors from Western New England College School of Law and earned an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He has practiced law for 25 years and is the Managing Attorney of Price Law Firm, APC, where he guides families through the complexities of probate and estate planning with a rare combination of legal expertise, compassion, and the occasional dad joke that may or may not land. A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Sam is known for making daunting legal processes understandable—and even, on a good day, less intimidating.

Sam’s commitment to service extends beyond his clients. He serves on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Trusts and Estates Section, is Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Section of the San Bernardino County Bar Association, is an Atticus Practice Advisor helping other attorneys build great practices and live a great life, and sits on the boards of both the SBCBA and the Inland Empire Estate Planning Seminar. Committed to being a lifelong learner and mentor, Sam is a frequent MCLE presenter, the host of the Probate Notes podcast, and the author of two books: The 6-Stage Probate ProcessTM: How to Navigate California Probate and Impactful Estate Planning: How Family Dynamics, Goals, and Wishes Influence Leaving Your Inheritance and Legacy.

Having grown up in San Bernardino, Sam has dedicated his career to serving the local community. Today, he lives and works in Redlands, where he continues to build connections and advocate for access to justice. His approach to probate is grounded in empathy—he knows clients often come to him during some of the hardest moments of their lives with a problem that they can’t solve on their own, and he strives to provide clarity, dignity, and a sense of forward momentum.

When Sam isn’t in the office, in the courtroom, teaching a class, or on a podcast microphone, he can be found with his British TV reporter wife, Tiffany, and their eight-year-old son, Parker, likely on a hiking trail, at a community event, or building elaborate LEGO creations that Parker takes credit for (and rightly so).
